Armanino’s Customer Advisory Board for High Tech Industries Dives into Microsoft Dynamics AX

Posted by Armanino Dynamics Team

Recently, Armanino hosted our annual customer advisory board for the High Tech Industry at the Microsoft Silicon Valley Technology Center. In collaboration with Microsoft, this event was very productive in gathering feedback from High Tech customers which will help shape future industry specific development and support requirements. The Customer Advisory Board featured the participation of a dozen Dynamics AX customer representatives from high tech manufacturers and distributors. These customers represented companies within the fabless semiconductor, electronics, electronic equipment/systems and software industries.

It was an action-packed event kicked off with a keynote on the state of the industry from Ron Jones, a long-standing executive in the high tech industry. Some of the hot topics for discussion included consignment, supply chain integration and CRM integration. The discussions reviewed the various consignment arrangements that the companies had in place with their trading partners and the best practices to manage those scenarios.
Companies who had common scenarios shared the innovations they had made to fill gaps in the standard package and compared notes with peers on the best approaches. The supply chain integration discussion included two basic forms of partner collaboration – one being the use of web portals for extending business processes and the other being electronic integrations to streamline communications with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and distributors.
The discussion around Dynamics AX to CRM integration took a business process focus where companies reviewed the role each of those systems played in their organization and the current and future benefits that are gained from integration.
There was so much to cover, so little time. Before long we were off to the networking happy hour event to continue the discussions. For a recap of the event, check out the Customer Advisory Board Newsletter or contact us for more information on participating in our next CAB event.
