Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 Update Rollup 2 is now available!

Posted by Greg Lief

On January 28, 2015, we received notification that Microsoft had released Update Rollup 2 (UR2) for Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Dynamics CRM 2013. However, the files were not officially available for On-Premises customers to download until February 6th. They are now available at this page for the Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 Update Rollup 2.

To clarify, the latest numeric and acronym versions of CRM 2013 are 06.01.0002.0112 and SP1 UR2, respectively.

A comprehensive list of all 100+ fixes can be found near the bottom of this page. There is something for all CRM users! We are particularly relieved to see these four:

  • Importing a solution that contains new Quick Forms fails with the following error: “The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permissions to view it.”
  • Attempting to export a merged form from CRM 2013 results in a solution import failure: “The label ‘{0}’, id: ‘{1}’ already exists. Supply unique labelid values.”
  • After upgrading to Update Rollup 1 for CRM 2013 Service Pack 1, solutions containing custom actions cannot be imported.
  • When you publish a web resource that is used on an entity form, the updated version of the web resource is not shown on the form.

There are also a number of fixes related to generic SQL errors and deadlocks.

We commend the user who tracked down this particular issue, which rivals the infamous CRM 2011 Brasilia Time Zone bug for sheer obscurity:

  • With the windows DST patch for Russia and UR 18 installed, fields with date value set between 7th August 2015 and 26th October 2015 have an incorrect time offset.

As previously mentioned, SP1 also encompasses everything contained within CRM 2013 UR1 and UR2. This also incorporates the Daylight Savings Time fix for Egypt, which was released in May 2014.

As always, Armanino Consulting suggests that you wait a few weeks after the Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 Update Rollup 2 is made available to allow for thorough testing before implementing it into your production environment.
