It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Power Platform!
Posted by Jeff Russell
The Business Applications Summit in Seattle had one theme that really was pervasive thru the entire week: Power Platform, which is what Microsoft is calling the suite of PowerApps, Power BI and Flow. From the opening to closing keynotes and everything in between, it is clear that Microsoft has invested and continues to invest heavily in Power Platform to maximize the potential of the Dynamics 365 platform in the context of the larger Microsoft solution stack.
Whether it’s building an app for any business task, taking control of your business data to drive decision-making, or implementing automation in your business processes straddling multiple applications, Power Platform offers a more comprehensive way of addressing business needs than the traditional construct of ERP and CRM solutions alone.
Partners and customers in the Dynamics 365 universe are only just beginning to scratch the surface with identifying opportunities and use-cases for these valuable and connected tools. The partners that will help existing and future clients maximize their investments in Microsoft technologies will be those who can bring all of the solutions together with Power Platform as the glue. I am excited that Armanino is involved as an early adopter and pioneer in this space with solutions like our data warehouse built on Power BI, and multiple PowerApp apps already in use at existing customers along with Flow and roadmaps identified for key investment areas to follow.
Overall, Power Platform offers a real opportunity for partners and customers alike to put on the cape and create true digital transformation.
