Dynamics 365 CE: Microsoft Discontinues Insights and Versium Predict

As of January 16, Microsoft no longer provides Insights by InsideView and Versium Predict to new D365 customers.  Here’s how this change may affect you.

What this means for existing D365 customers

If you were a licensed D365 customer as of January 16, you will still have access to both Insights and Versium Predict through August 14, 2019. If you would like to continue the use of either one of these tools, please reach out to us. Licenses can still be purchased directly through InsideView and Versium.

Why were these tools removed from D365?

With each release, Microsoft continues to add functionality to the core product to provide additional value to D365 customers. With incremental improvements to Sales AI, Relationship Insights, and the LinkedIn integration, much of the functionality is already available in core D365.

The primary gap, or loss of functionality, with this change is the lack of data augmentation and enrichment. While LinkedIn Sales Navigator users can still access additional data and insights, this is not available to all D365 customers. If this functionality is a requirement for your organization, you can evaluate Relationship Sales licenses for your users, or license a third-party data enrichment service through AppSource.

Removing Insights and Versium Predict

If you decide not to license Insights and Versium, you will need to remove any of the related elements from your forms in D365. Once the service is terminated on August 15, the tools will not be available, but the elements will still appear on the form as a blank space. To remedy this, you will need your D365 Customer Engagement administrator to uninstall both solutions from your environment.
